Basic Process Description
The external raw water is pressurized by the raw water pump and fed into the mechanical filter and activated carbon filter to remove large particles, suspended solids, and part of organic colloids in the water. The activated carbon filter further removes organic pollutants and adsorbs residual chlorine.
Scale inhibitor is added to the effluent from the activated carbon filter to prevent scaling on the RO membrane surface. The water then passes through the security filter to remove particles larger than 3 μm, protecting the membrane from mechanical damage and ensuring good performance and long service life.
The effluent from the security filter is pumped into the reverse osmosis system by a high-pressure pump. The RO membrane can remove 95–97% of inorganic salts, as well as most dissolved organic matter, colloids, and bacteria. The treated water is stored in the pure water tank and then delivered to the usage point by the pure water pump.
